Subject: NEW SITE: Macca
A permanent GPS receiver has been installed at the Australian Sub-Antarctic
Research Station on MacQuarie Island, in the Southern Ocean. The monument is
a concrete pillar approximately 30 metres from the station buildings.
The GPS antenna is currently located on the pillar and will soon have an acrylic
dome erected over it.

This is a permanent installation.
