Dear Colleagues,

We had to replace the Ashtech chokering antenna at the Hartebeesthoek RAO,
Krugersdorp South Africa (HRAO) station again today with an identical antenna.
Lightning is to blame, and we are crossing fingers for more favorable weather
and luck in the future.

There was unfortunately a data gap between February 21st (2006.052 18:00 UTC) -
February 23rd (2006.054 00:00 UTC). Data with the new antenna is being published
again after this gap. An updated log will be submitted to the IGS-CB shortly.

As always we would like to acknowledge the assistance of the personnel from the
Hartebeesthoek RAO in Krugersdorp in restoring operations so quickly.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Maintenance and operations of the HRAO station is a collaborative effort
supported by JPL, UNAVCO, and the Hartebeesthoek RAO in Krugersdorp, with
funding provided by NASA's Earth Surface and Interior Focus Area - Science
Mission Directorate.

Best regards,

     -Oivind Ruud
