STRATEGY UPDATE
---------------
Beginning day 156 (June 4, 2000), JPL ultra-rapid, rapid, and final
products submitted to the IGS make use of the IGS97 terrestrial reference
frame. The station monument coordinates and velocities are taken from
ftp://macs.geod.emr.ca/pub/requests/sinex/rfwg/IGS00P04_RS51.snx.Z,
and antenna heights from ftp://igscb/igscb/station/general/igs.snx.
(Antenna reference point to L1 and L2 phase centers are from
ftp://igscb/igscb/station/general/igs_01.pcv.)
The jpl.acn file at the IGS CBIS has been updated to reflect the switch to
the new reference frame. Please note that orbits, Earth orientation, SINEX
station coordinates, and daily transformation files submitted to the IGS are
still all free-network solutions, but are now aligned with IGS97.
GENERAL
-------
This week, we add four new candidate global stations. As with other sites,
these sites are given the opportunity to participate in the orbit and clock
solution as the global site distribution varies. The following nominal
coordinates were assumed:
X (m) Y (m) Z (m)
ESTI (Esteli, Nicaragua) 394283.5096 -6201541.5043 1436325.7780
MANA (Managua, Nicaragua) 407981.8407 -6222925.7778 1333528.9302
SFDM (Piru, CA, USA) -2532676.3090 -4615599.0438 3588781.2846
TEGU (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) 301697.3693 -6181025.1715 1542919.8538
Due to potential problems, data from stations mentioned below were not
considered for use in the global solution for the day indicated. (For
geographical reasons, they may not have been used in any case.)
WARNING: DRAO (not USNO) used as reference clock days 156, 158, 159, and 162.
WARNING: PIE1 (not USNO) used as reference clock days 157 and 160.
WARNING: NRC1 (not USNO) used as reference clock day 161.
WARNING: Data from PRN02, PRN15, and PRN18 excluded the entire GPS week 1065.
WARNING: Data from PRN17 excluded day 157.
WARNING: Data from PRN25 excluded days 158 and 159.
WARNING: Data from GOL2, LBCH, MAD2, WTZT excluded day 156.
WARNING: Data from GOL2, WTZT excluded day 157.
WARNING: Data from LBCH, WTZT excluded day 158.
WARNING: Data from AZU1, KARR, KSTU, NTUS, USNO, WTZT excluded day 159.
WARNING: Data from AZU1, KARR, NTUS, WTZT excluded day 160.
WARNING: Data from AZU1, JAMA, KARR, OAT2, SUWN, USNO, WTZT excluded day 161.
WARNING: Data from KIRU, KOUR, PERT excluded day 162.
In the following table, UT1R-UTC are the integrated values based on estimated
LODR values in the adjacent column. See IGS Report No. 1498 (jpl07827.sum)
