JPL ANALYSIS REPORT GPS-WEEK 0728 (DAYS 353-359, DATES 19-12-93 TO 25-12-93)
******************************************************************************
Submitted by the JPL IGS/FLINN Analysis Team:

all at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology,
Pasadena, CA 91109.
Files listed below are available in Unix compressed format and can be

jpl07287.erp Earth rotation parameters for GPS week 728.
jpl0728[0-6].sp3 GPS ephemerides for GPS week 728, sp3 format.
______________________________________________________________________________
Please note that days 353 and 359 (Dec 19, 25) were analyzed using ITRF91
site coordinates and velocities, with only 8 fiducial stations, as they were
processed before we officially switched to the ITRF92 reference frame with 13
constrained sites (see jpl07297.sum, jpl07307.sum). All other days were
processed using the newer strategy.
Additionally, with posterior knowledge of the Northridge Earthquake (Jan 17,
1994), we chose to estimate the position of GOLD (Goldstone, California), rather
than use it as one of the 13 established fiducials, on days 354-358 (Dec 20-24).
As mentioned above, the other two days of the week were processed using the old
reference frame, and GOLD was estimated automatically. Motion of GOLD induced
by the earthquake is expected to be much less than 1 mm; the removal of GOLD as a fixed site, in retrospect, is not necessary.
In order to reduce the cpu time required for processing, we have used a smaller,
well-distributed subset of 31 stations for days 354-358; sites not used on
these days do not necessarily reflect a problem at those locations.
WARNING: Because of the Northridge Earthquake (day 1994/017), GOLD was not used
as a fiducial (constrained) site for the entire GPS week 728.
WARNING: Data from PRN04/GPS34 and PRN07/GPS37 were deleted on day 353 (Dec 19).
