OUTLINE OF THE ESTIMATION OF GPS-ORBITS AND EARTH ROTATION PARAMETERS
AT THE ESOC PROCESSING CENTRE FOR IGS

 J.M.Dow, J.Feltens, T.Martin-Mur, C.Garcia-Martinez

Description of analysis for period 1993 March 14 - March 20
                                                            (week 0688)
 1. SOFTWARE USED: GPSOBS/BAHN-Version 5

 2. MODELS USED AND PARAMETERS ESTIMATED/FIXED:

For a description of models and parameters used ==> see IGS - Mail 51
For updates of the models and parameters used ==> see IGS - Mail 114

 3. REMARKS: From this week on we use a new set of ground station coordinates:
SSC (IERS) 93 C 01. This solution has been presented at the IGS
workshop in Bern by C. Boucher and Z. Altamimi. 12 sites were re-
commended to be kept fixed (which we also intend to fix in future):
             ALGO,FAIR,GOLD,HART,KOKB,MADR,SANT,TIDB,TROM,WETT,YAR1,YELL.

There was a manoeuvre announced on day 076 for SV18/PRN18 (CANSPACE
mail of 25 February 1993). Using triple differences, we could de-
tect it at 17:45 UTC. Since we were not able to estimate the velo-
city increment, we have excluded SV18/PRN18 from the solution of
             day 076.

 4. GROUND STATIONS, SSC (IERS) 93 C 01 (epoch 1992.6):

Description of analysis for period 1993 March 21 - March 27

 3. REMARKS: A manoeuvre was announced on day 084 for SV25/PRN25 (CANSPACE
mail of 12 March 1993). Using triple differences, we could de-
tect it at 22:10 UTC, but were not able to estimate the velo-
city increment. This manoeuvre obviously has been performed,
when SV18 moved over the southern Indian Ocean, and we could
see this manoeuvre only from triple difference data between
grond stations HART and YAR1. So there might not have been data
enough to estimate the velocity increment.
