Dear colleagues,

the latest two GPS satellites G082 and G083 launched in January and
April 2026 are both equipped with retroreflector arrays for satellite
laser ranging.

G082 is tracked by stations of the ILRS since beginning of March 2026.
Based on about 6 weeks of normal points and CODE rapid orbits, the
follwing preliminary LRA offsets have been estimated:

**SVN_ Equipment___________ T ____X_[m] ____Y_[m] ____Z_[m]
Comment___________________________
  G082 LRA_GPS_III          L    1.2100    0.1300    2.1400 gps82, prel.
est. DLR*

The residual RMS applying these LRA offsets is about 4 cm. These LRA
offsets have been added to the IGS satellite metadata file for both,
G082 and G083:

Best regards,

Peter
