Dear colleagues,
we kindly welcome you to submit an abstract to the upcoming EGU Session G3.1 "Geodesy for Climate Research", which invites innovative Earth system and climate studies based on geodetic measuring techniques.
So far, the EGU General Assembly 2022 is still planned as a hybrid meeting with an in-person component in Vienna, however it might still be decided to switch to a virtual-only meeting if the pandemic situation makes it necessary (see https://www.egu.eu/news/883/update-on-egu22-hybrid-meeting-still-planned/). In case that EGU2022 will indeed have an in-person component, please be aware that this session is scheduled as an "oral/poster session" which means that it is adapted to in-person participation only (including on-site oral presentations accompanied by a physical poster session). However, there will be the possibility of uploading presentation materials (including pre-recorded presentations) and there will be an online discussion forum for each presentation to give online-only participants the chance to view all presentations and to interact with the presenters. Additionally, the EGU Programme Committee is currently looking into several potential solutions for abstracts submitted to oral/poster sessions by authors that indicate a preference for virtual participation. So despite these somewhat still unclear circumstances, we encourage everyone to submit an abstract to our session if you think that it is the most appropriate place to present your results.
For further information on the session please visit: https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU22/session/42838
Please be aware of the abstract submission deadline which is 12 January 2022, 13:00 CET. We are very much looking forward to your contribution and will be happy to meet you hopefully in-person in Vienna!
Best regards,
Anna Klos, Roelof Rietbroek, Carmen Blackwood, Henryk Dobslaw, Vincent Humphrey
