Dear colleagues,

The abstract submission deadline of the 1. Workshop of the Inter-Commission Committee on "Geodesy for Climate Research" (ICCC) of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) is approaching. Please submit your abstract by February 14th via the workshop website https://iccc.iag-aig.org/iccc-workshops/ws21

The workshop will be held March 29-31, 2021 as an online event, the participation is free of charge. We welcome presentations on all aspects related to using geodesy for climate research.

It is planned to have 2x2 hours of live meeting per day (8-10 a.m. CET and 5-7 pm CET). These oral blocks will be held on Zoom and we plan to have a mix of introductory overview talks, short (12+3 min.) scientific presentations, and the opportunity for networking in breakout groups. Additionally, offline presentations ("posters") will be available for discussion. All presentations will be made available to participants before the meeting to facilitate asynchronous viewing. There will be the opportunity to ask questions in live meetings and to discuss with fellow scientists via additional chat channels.

The workshop intends to:
1) Highlight the potential of geodesy for climate research by showcasing and discussing climate-related studies that make use of geodetic observations.
2) Bring together geodetic and climate communities to facilitate exchange of their experience and possibly establish a mutual cooperation.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you there!
