[IGSMAIL-7942] COVID-19 UPDATE to IGS.org Website and File Transfer Transition

Dear IGS Community Member,

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions it has set on users
having the accessibility to change their scripts/programs, the IGS
Governing Board has *postponed the previously announced transition of FTP
services to HTTPS to 9 December 2020.*


*Now effective 9 December 2020, all 'ftp://ftp.igs.org
<ftp://ftp.igs.org/>' and 'ftp://igs.org <ftp://igs.org/>' services will be
terminated and will be replaced with 'https://files.igs.org
<https://files.igs.org/>'. *
To provide all users the well-needed time to prepare for this transition, '
https://files.igscb.org' is still on-line and active for you to test.
Please note, the IGS Central Bureau (CB) has also made available '
https://files.igs.org' that points to "igscb" host, however, you will be
warned about incorrect SSL certificates due to the hostname differences.
After 9 December, 'https://files.igscb.org' will become '
https://files.igs.org'.

An updated transition timeline is attached to this message. We have also
made available searching capability for your ease of use. Here are examples
below:

To get a directory listing:
https://files.igscb.org/pub/station/general/?list
<https://files.igscb.org/pub/station/general/*?list>
or
https://files.igscb.org/pub/station/general/*?list

To get a listing of partial files beginning with "igs":
https://files.igscb.org/pub/station/general/igs*?list

To get a listing of all files ending in "atx":
https://files.igscb.org/pub/station/general/*atx?list

To get a listing of all files containing "snx":
https://files.igscb.org/pub/station/general/*snx*?list

The resultant will be "filename date_modified file_size"

Please remember, after 9 December 2020, all the links above will be
replaced with 'https://files.igs.org'. Functionality will not change.

As an additional reminder, effective 9 December 2020, the legacy '
http://igs.org' will be formally retired and the new 'https://igscb.org'
will become 'https://igs.org'.
