[IGSMAIL-7814] IGS Associate Member Open Meeting at this year's AGU; Reminder to submit nominations for open IGS Governing Board positions

Dear IGS Associate Members and Friends,

The IGS Central Bureau is happy to announce that we will once again be hosting “AMs in the AM,” an open Associate Member and Working Group meeting the Sunday morning  (8 December) before AGU in San Francisco.

The purpose of this session is to provide an opportunity for the working group chairs to update both governing board members and associate members on progress / issues resulting from the most recent workshop, including actions against the recommendations. This will also provide a forum for discussion about how to move forward with working group activities as we head towards the Boulder Workshop (August 2020). The presentations will be short (5 minutes each) with 5 minutes for discussion after each.

An agenda and additional logistical information will be sent soon.

As a reminder, please consider encouraging someone you feel would be a good fit (or yourself!) for any of the announced open Governing Board positions to apply or send questions to elections at igs.org<mailto:elections at igs.org>; please see the attached message from Mayra on 24 July for further details.
