Dear Colleagues
Over the past years the Tide Gauge Benchmark Monitoring Pilot Project
(TIGA) of the IGS has contributed significantly to the understanding of
phenomena related to global and regional sea level change. Since 2001
TIGA has been providing geocentric coordinates and vertical rates for a
large number of GPS sites worldwide.
The TIGA Pilot Project is now in transition to an IGS Working Group
responsible for the production of a dedicated TIGA Product. This will
involve reprocessing of GNSS data of IGS and non-IGS stations at tide
gauges and the provision of a dedicated TIGA combination product. The
IGS thus solicits organizations and groups to participate in this effort
with the Call for Participation that can be found at
http://adsc.gfz-potsdam.de/tiga/DOWNLOAD/TIGA_CfP.pdf
We look forward to responses from a wide range of contributing
organizations and groups and a successful Working Group phase.
Sincerely Yours,
Urs Hugentobler
