[IGSMAIL-6309] 2nd Training School on GIA modelling for non specialists

Dear Colleagues [apologies for multiple postings]

2nd Training School on GIA modelling, 13-17 June, 2011, Sweden.

The main objective of this Training School is to give researchers (particularly early-stage researchers, but all are welcome) whose principal area of expertise is *not* in modelling of Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) intensive training on numerical GIA modelling. The training will not be limited to the solid-earth deformation process of GIA only, but will also involve glaciological modelling of the disappearing Late-Pleistocene ice sheets on the one hand and GIA-induced sea-level change on the other hand. Participants from fields involved in the measurement of GIA (e.g., GRACE, ground-based gravity, geometric geodesy) are particularly welcome.
 
The school is organised by the COST action ES0701 "Improved constraints on models of GIA" but is open to everyone with relevant interest and background.
