This is a correction to the previously issued email. Note that the
meeting will take place May 16-20, 2011. Sorry for any confusion.
The next International Workshop on Laser Ranging was previously
scheduled to be held in Concepcion Chile in January 2011.
Unfortunately, due to the earthquake there in February, it was
no longer possible to hold the workshop in Chile. BKG has offered
to host the 17th workshop in Bad Kötzting, Germany, near the
Wettzell Geodetic Observatory, from May 16-20, 2011. Johannes Ihde
has provided the following information concerning accommodations
and travel to the venue; blocks of rooms have been reserved at
these hotels starting May 15:
Hotels in Bad Kötzting:
- Hotel Zur Post: 20 rooms (http://www.posthotel-bad-koetzting.de/ )
- Hotel Amberger Hof: 25 rooms (http://www.amberger-hof.de/ )

- Hotel Herzog Heinrich: 70 rooms (http://hotel-herzog-heinrich.de )
Hotel in Grafenwiesen (between Arrach and Bad Kötzting):
- Hotel Birkenhof: 25 rooms (http://www.hotel-birkenhof.de/ )
The local organizers will arrange for the transfer between hotels outside
of Bad Kötzting and the meeting venue.
Participants will need to arrange transportation from the nearest airports
to Bad Kötzting. How to reach Bad Kötzting by train:
