Information on the updates to the IERS Conventions.

The IERS Conventions Center informs of the following updates:


Chapter 1 "General definitions and numerical standards" has been updated on
21 June 2010, see http://tai.bipm.org/iers/convupdt/convupdt_c1.html.

Added explanatory text on GM values; Corrected typos; Change uncertainty of
GM(sun).


Chapter 5 "Transformation between the International Terrestrial Reference
System and Geocentric Celestial Reference System" has been updated on
2 July 2010, see http://tai.bipm.org/iers/convupdt/convupdt_c5.html.

    * Sections 5.5.1 and 5.5.3 of the chapter have been revised by N.
Capitaine and A. Brzezinski to include the effects of libration on the
motion of the celestial intermediate pole in the ITRS and the Earth rotation
angle. The subroutine UTLIBR.F has been provided to calculate the effects on
UT1 and LOD.
    * The subroutine PMSDNUT2.F replaces the former version PMsdnut.for. It
uses numeric data consistent with that provided in the Chapter Table and
calls the subroutine FUNDARG.F. Differences between PMSDNUT2.F and
PMsdnut.for are at the submicroas level.
    * The subroutine fcnnut has been updated by S. Lambert, see
http://syrte.obspm.fr/~lambert/fcn/.
    * Correction to Table 5.2e: The sign of the terms in t^4 and in t^5 of
the polynomial part has been corrected. This correction mentioned on 21
October 2009 had not been introduced in the Table (noted by M. Weigelt). 


Chapter 8 "Tidal variations in the Earth's rotation" has been updated on 
2 July 2010, see http://tai.bipm.org/iers/convupdt/convupdt_c8.html.

Tables 8.3a and 8.3b have been modified so that the number of significant
digits is consistent for all quantities and consistent with Table 5.1b and
the routine provided with Chaper 5.


Chapter 9 "Models for propagation delays" has been updated on
2 July 2010, see http://tai.bipm.org/iers/convupdt/convupdt_c9.html.

Change of notation in equation (37); correction to equation (48) (noted by
O. Colombo).
