RESEARCH POST IN GPS GEODESY


Applications are invited from candidates holding a PhD (or expecting the imminent award of one) in geodesy or a closely related field.  You will join the Geodesy team and carry
out research into the analysis and utilisation of GPS observations for positioning and deformation monitoring, including the precise determination of horizontal and vertical
motions of the Earth's crust and structures on the Earth.  Ideally, you will also contribute to the teaching activities of the School. Applications from individuals with
experience in global GPS (re-)processing activities are particularly welcome.

This new position is available from 1 Oct 2006, for two years in the first instance but with the expectation of continuation depending on funding and performance.  Salary will be
at an appropriate point on the scale GBP #21,467 - GBP #30,607 per annum (pending review), according to qualifications and experience.

filled.
