Dear Colleagues,
Thanks to everyone for the valuable comments received in response to
IGSMAIL-3172 regarding the draft new site log. All were discussed and
many were incorporated in the new version available below and at
ftp://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/pub/station/general/draft.log
I have tried to communicate with the authors of suggestions not
incorporated, to explain the reasoning of the discussion group and
invite further comment if the author feels strongly.
Please examine this version, which is hopefully near final, and send
comments to igscb at igscb.jpl.nasa.gov by 6 March.
There is also a draft log instruction file available at
ftp://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/pub/station/general/sitelog_instr.txt to
explain the details of filling out a site log (which do not always
fit conveniently in the fixed format of the log itself). An html
version will follow shortly. Suggestions on improving this document
are welcome at any time.
