Subject: MacQuarie Island - antenna height

Please be advised that the current log is in error.
The antenna height is shown as 0.1025 m to the arp.
This is in fact the height to the bottom of the ground
plane and the height to the arp should be 0.0675 m.

This log will be superceded with a new one when the new
antenna is installed later this month.

Anyone who used this data during 1994 should be aware
of this error and I apologize for any inconvenience
caused.

Further during the period that the antenna was in use,
it and the mounting it was on were corroding and as at
the last measurement made on 94.12.04, the height of the
antenna had risen by 3.5 mm due to the expansion caused
by the corrosion.

Regards
Martin Hendy
