Subj: Rogue Firmware Upgrade V7.4
---------------------------------

The Rogue Firmware Upgrade to V7.4 is proceding according to plan. The new
software version is still in a Beta test mode, hence a limited release
have taken place so far. V7.4 will remove the largest biases (2-30 m) in the
C/A pseudorange and reduce them to the 60-70 cm level. This bug/limitation
only affects the Rogue SNR-8, 800, 8C, and 8A, but not the TurboRogue model.
We are in the process of trying the reduce the remaining bias to below
half the widelane wavelength so that automatic undifferenced data editing
is possible to repair the integer cycle phase bias that occurs when the
receiver switches to/from codeless to P-code mode. In addition, reduction of
the pseudorange bias should help ambiguity resolution between receivers which
are tracking the same satellite in different modes.

Currently 9 of 11 scheduled sites have installed the new test version, as shown
in the table below. The full network upgrade will occur at the end of July.
