Do you mean that, after you fill in all chairs' information, we can provide a link on our workshop website to this page in order to have the registrants to submit abstracts? Or do we have to establish a page for abstract submission ourselves, just like what we did for the registration page? Please note that we also have Early Bird rate. Detail below. One issue is that there may be cancellations of registration and we need to fully refund them if this cancellation occurs before Aug. 29th, two months before the workshop. So you may need to return the registration fee (full or not?) before transferring the money to us. > > In order to ensure that the money is transferred to Wuhan before the first > day of the workshop, this "standard" registration fee and payment system > will be closed on 24 October. You know there will always be lots of problems when counting money in front of a desk :). Onsite payment is only the last alternative to online payment. In detail, our rate is as follows Early bird (before Aug. 29) After Aug. 29 Regular $410 (?350) $470 (?400) Student $180 (?150) $240 (?200) Companion $120 (?100) $140 (?120) Banquet coupon for (optional for student registration): $80 Dinner coupon for all (optional): $20 per night Student registration covers all workshop events except the banquet on Tuesday night. But students could buy a banquet coupon. Dinner coupons are for everyone if they'd like to have buffet in Donghu hotel. I suggest all such special discount or payment could be payable online. > > Once registration opens, information about late or discounted on-site > registration payment (especially if someone will need to have 500+ USD > worth of CNY) will be provided. > > Yes. Some additional items requested: The following items are required: * The URL of where this code will reside on the workshop website. * When the attached code is setup the way you like let us know so that we can turn it on test mode so we can see if it works as desired. Unsure if that is what is intended. I might be missing the working steps. Is this the correct understanding: 1. LOC uses http://igsworkshop2018.gnsswhu.cn/index/register.do 2. That form passes the values through the attached code below which is the intermediary to paypal. 3. Where https://register.unavco.org/public/meetings/2018/wuhan/payment.html completes the final transaction? If so: * I would need the string construct documentation so that they can pass the payment information securely to PayPal. > * https://register.unavco.org/public/meetings/2018/wuhan/payment.html >> * Takes in the parameters passed through item 1. Thanks, Gaurav From: Susan Jeffries Date: Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 10:51 AM To: Gaurav Walia Cc: "Craddock, Allison B (335N)" Subject: Re: registration for Wuhan meeting Gaurav, Based on the email that Chuck sent with the link to the registration form, (http://igsworkshop2018.gnsswhu.cn/index/register.do), I think it would be best if they post their form to a page similar to this one...https://register.unavco.org/public/meetings/2018/wuhan/payment.html. The code for this page, payment.html, can be copied and edited and put on their website OR they can point to our server. The code of this page is below. This page will simply take the registration form fields and push them along to Paypal. Once the payment is processed it will return to this url, http://igsworkshop2018.gnsswhu.cn/index. I made a guess here since I haven't heard anything definitive yet. I also need an igs email in which to send the payment receipt. This payment processing is now in TEST mode. If you use the VISA number 4111111111111111 you can test the process with a success. Susan Jeffries New simplified code. Note this doesn't entail a shopping cart. It simply pushes a total amount due, purchaser name, country and email to Paypal. The other fields, address, city, etc are optional.

We just checked the PayPal webpage you designed for us. We think a better way is that we send the registrant's ID and his/her total payment to you, and then you charge him/her for that payment directly without building independent "Add to Cart" options. After that, you can send us back a signal to tell if the payment is successful or not. We mean that we can handle all the payment options on our side, and you deal with the PayPal charge only. The return url is http://igsworkshop2018.gnsswhu.cn/index/getMessage.do?msg= registrant id,0/1 The registrant id is a number we sent you. I would copy the payment.html code to the same server. Your developer needs to decide which parameters to send to this "handoff to Paypal" page. At a minimum, I would say "name", "email", "country" and "amcount". The handoff pages then loads these values on the Paypal page automatically. (Since it's an international audience, address, phone and zip code don't always translate well.) The Paypal page will look up the terminal established under "2530jdavis" user. This terminal is specific for this meeting. Test it with the credit card number below and see how it does on your server. If there are changes you would like to see you?re welcome to reach out UNAVCO (susan Jefferies) or I gladly can assist. Also, the PayPal system will provide receipts to the registrants upon the successful transaction so no effort would be required from any party (LOC, WUHAN, IGSCB, UNAVCO, or individual) if they utilize the credit card system. Most payment gateways provide an email receipt of the transaction. Is it possible to please provide the following information by Monday June 25, it would be much appreciate. The following items are required: 1. The URL of where this code will reside on the workshop website. 2. We are working on this. There is some delay in the registration setup due to UNAVCO PayPal account. I believe the registration page will be open next week. BTW, "Early Bird Registration" is allowed before Aug. 29, not after. I'm afraid this invitation must be edited due to the requirements of the local Consulate: 1. There must be written the field 'To' as 'To: Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in St. Petersburg' 2. Text /'Please note that the registration fees, travel expenses, living expenses and accommodation expenses are not provided by the workshop' /should be edited to '/T//he registration fees, travel expenses, living expenses and accommodation expenses will be covered by Institute of Applied Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences/' and moved to the end of the letter. Also the standard format for the date here is dd-mm-yyyy not mm-dd-yyyy. So it probably would be better to change the format or to note what format was used.
