[IGSSTATION-9188] GRAZ00AUT: additional monument/receiver GRZ200AUT will be operational next week replacing GRAZ00AUT; expected decommission of GRAZ00AUT in summer 2026

Dear colleagues,

I want to inform you that due to planned construction work on the root of the building at the IGS and EPN station GRAZ00AUT in GRAZ LUSTBUEHEL in summer this year the traditional GNSS instrument hast to be removed. The marker will hopefully not be destroyed but it is clear, that we will have to remove the steel tripod where the antenna is mounted since 1993 and that we have to decommission the station soon.

As a replacement for GRAZ00AUT a new station GRZ200AUT has been built up and will be operational in Mai 2026. The new monument is situated on the same building only a few meters aside from the old monument. At the moment we are preparing the inclusion of the new station into the EPN and IGS and a local tie measurement campaign. Please expect the submission of the committment letters soon.

The old and new station will be operational in parallel for some time. We expect the decommission of GRAZ in July or August 2026. The stations GRAA and GRAB will then be decommissioned too.
