Dear colleagues,
Our station WIND located in Windhoek, Namibia has been offline since DOY 2020-340 due to a network issue.
The station came back with a big surprise last week.
Most of the data recorded the time from 2021-011 to 2021-062 is incomplete and not trustworthy.
The roof of the building the antenna is located on, has been renovated in December 2020 and the antenna cable got damaged.
There’s no data available between 2020-341 and 2021-010 since the storage was full and older data got overwritten.
The colleagues on-site changed the antenna cable yesterday and the data quality is back to normal.
An update of the site log has been posted to the SLM reflecting the change and explaining the outage.
In summary:
• No data between 2020-341 and 2021-010
• Incomplete/Not trustworthy data between 2021-011 and 2021-062
We apologise for any inconvenience this problem might have caused you.
Best regards,
Markus
