Dear Colleagues,

The McMurdo, Ross Island (MCM4) station has had a failure of the external
Rubidium frequency standard on July 30th. The receiver was configured to steer
internally until the Rubidium problems can be resolved. We have been
troubleshooting brief hourly outages at MCM4 starting on July 2nd, however,
those tracking problems appear to be related to the failure of the Rubidium as
they disappeared when the receiver was configured to steer internally. An
updated site log has been submitted to the IGSCB.

       Modified/Added Sections : 6.2, 6.3

6.2 Standard Type : RUBIDIUM
        Input Frequency : 5 MHz
        Effective Dates : 2000-01-30/2009-07-30
        Notes : (multiple lines)

6.3 Standard Type : INTERNAL
        Input Frequency : (if external)
        Effective Dates : 2009-07-30/CCYY-MM-DD
        Notes : (multiple lines)

Maintenance and operations of the MCM4 station is a collaborative effort
supported by JPL and UNAVCO with funding provided by NASA's Earth Surface and
Interior Focus Area - Science Mission Directorate.

Best Regards,
David Maggert
