Dear Colleagues,

Ref. [IGSSTATION-2002].
We are very pleased to let you know that the Diego Garcia (DGAR) IGS
station is again operational. New data starting March 27th (2008.087) is
available at the data centers. There was unfortunately a data gap from
when the site communications went down on November 27th (2007.331) 05:00
UTC. Some of this data might be recoverable from the old computer, and
will be published if possible at a later date.

The station was also upgraded with a new Ashtech CGRS receiver. The
antenna was not moved or replaced. An updated log has been submitted to
the IGS-CB.

We would like to acknowledge the help and assistance of the local
personnel at Diego Garcia in restoring operations.

We apologize for the inconvenience this extended outage my have caused.

Maintenance and operations of the DGAR station is a collaborative effort
supported by JPL, UNAVCO, and the Air Force Space Command, Diego Garcia
with funding provided by NASA's Earth Surface and Interior Focus Area -
Science Mission Directorate.

Best regards,

  -Oivind Ruud
