8)Station sets and discrepancies with NCL station catalogue
Each station in this week's A-Sinexes is listed below. For each AC estimating
each station, a six-character report is given. The meaning of each character
and its possible states are as follows:
Char 1: inclusion in combination: i = included, X = excluded
Char 2: DOMES code info : - = given
d = not given and not known by NCL
D = not given but listed in NCL catalogue
Char 3: ANTENNA information : - = matches NCL catalogue or not given
a = text string discrep. (type and/or S/N)
A = vector discrep. (phase centre) > 1mm
Char 4: RECEIVER information : - = matches NCL catalogue or not given
r = text string discrep. (type, S/N or firm)
Char 5: ECCENTRICITY info - = matches NCL catalogue or not given
E = vector discrep. (local tie) > 1mm
Char 6: RESIDUAL size - = not yet implemented
Important Note! The NCL catalogue is compiled and updated from past Sinex
submissions - when discrepancies exist, the catalogue uses the most popular
(among ACs) value for each data item. The catalogue is therefore simply a
method of comparing solutions, and is not authoritative. If most ACs are
flagged as discrepant on the same item, the catalogue is probably wrong.
The codes are chosen so that '-' means no problem, a lower-case
letter means a less important discrepancy, and an upper case letter means an
important one. ACs with upper case codes - please modify your Sinex blocks, or
email me to put me right! Suggestions about this section are welcome.
Codes 'a' and 'r' should be diregarded by Centres not yet using the v1.00
20-character description strings.
