PRODUCTS GENERATED:
The following products are generated and uploaded into CDDIS @ NASA/GSFC
MIT0822T.SNX Combined sinex file from all available analysis centers
MIT0822T.SUM Name of this summary file
1.0 Analysis Procedures:
(1) Each centers sinex solutions are de-constrained before
combination. Due to numerical stability different new constraints
are applied to different centers (see center report below):
(2) Covariance matrices from each center are re-scaled to generate
unit increment in chi square per degree in the tight constraints.
The values are are based in the chi**2 per degree of freedom increment
when the loosely constrained solution is constrained to the ITRF1993
coordinates of the 13 core sites. Orientation changes are estimated but
translations and scale are NOT estimated.
(3) The tight solution is generated with the following constraints on
the core sites
Sig N Sig E Sig U

Earth rotation parameters are estimated for center (even when not given
in the original SINEX files. In this case the partial derivatives are
computed from the station coordinates).
(4) Individual Center comments:
EMR: (a) Constraints loosened to +-5 m for positions
JPL: (a) Constraints not changed. No constraints given SINEX file but
appear to be about 1 meter of the core sites.
GFZ: (a) Constraints loosened to +-5 m for positions.
COD: (a) Constraints loosened to +-0.5 m for positions: Looser constraints
generate non-positive definite covariance matrices.
SIO: (a) Constraints not changed since the center's constraints are
extremely weak.
(b) Some site names changed to bring into accord with IGS naming conventions
(c) For this week we remade the SIO sinex file from the GAMIT hfiles
with out translation parameters estimated.
NGS: (a) Constraints loosened to +-0.1 m for positions: Looser constraints
generate non-positive definite covariance matrices.
(b) Earth rotation parameters have the wrong units and we preprocess these
files to remove the EOP parameters.
(c) The following ties are 'removed'
TSKB_GPS -26.306 -38.284 2.761 XYZ
AREQ_GPS 18.615 -0.548 21.499 XYZ
MAS1_GPS 3.120 -0.845 -9.563 XYZ
The values here are not the same as those in the SINEX file which
appear to be incorrect
(d) SINEX files are manually edited to put correct day number in them
and then combined into a loose 1-week solution to make them
compatible with the other centers.
NOTES: NGS is the only center applying phase center corrections and for
reasons that are not clear, applying these models yeilds worse aggreement
with ITRF-1993 than not using the models. The ~10 cm height changes
caused by applying these models has been seen in our (MIT) analyses as
well. For this reason, NGS's analysis gets a large variance scaling factor.
