PRODUCTS GENERATED:
The following products are generated and uploaded into CDDIS @ NASA/GSFC
MIT0825T.SNX Combined sinex file from all available analysis centers
MIT0825T.SUM Name of this summary file
1.0 Analysis Procedures:
(1) Each centers sinex solutions are de-constrained before
combination. Due to numerical stability different new constraints
are applied to different centers (see center report below):
(2) Covariance matrices from each center are re-scaled to generate
unit increment in chi square per degree in the tight constraints.
The values are are based in the chi**2 per degree of freedom increment
when the loosely constrained solution is constrained to the ITRF1993
coordinates of the 13 core sites. Orientation changes are estimated
in this step, but translations and scale are NOT estimated.
(3) The tight solution is generated with the following constraints on
the core sites

Earth rotation parameters are estimated for each center (even when not given
in the original SINEX files. In this case the partial derivatives are
computed from the station coordinates).
(4) Individual Center comments:
EMR: (a) Constraints loosened to +-5 m for positions
(b) Week 0825: A second antenna and eccentricity entry was present
for GOLD A 2. There was not estimate for this site and the
entry was ignored. The eccentricity height was 0.0025 m.
(See GFZ report).
JPL: (a) Constraints not changed. No constraints given SINEX file but
appear to be about 1 meter of the core sites.
(b) The estimate of the JPL height of FORT seems to be consistently
40-60 mm higher than the other centers. Since there is no
ECCENTRICITY block in the JPL sinex files, we are unable to check
to see if this is due to an eccentricty error or not.
GFZ: (a) Constraints loosened to +-5 m for positions.
(b) Week 0825: A second antenna and eccentricity entry was present
for GOLD A 2. There was not estimate for this site and the
entry was ignored. The eccentricity height was 0.0254 m.
(This differs from a similar entry in the EMR Sinex files).
COD: (a) Constraints loosened to +-0.5 m for positions: Looser constraints
generate non-positive definite covariance matrices.
SIO: (a) Constraints not changed since the center's constraints are
extremely weak.
(b) Some site names changed to bring into accord with IGS naming conventions
(c) Week 0825: Starting this week we used the SIO generated Sinex file
rather than the ones which we have been generating from the GAMIT
h-files obtained from the SIO Archive.
NGS: (a) Constraints loosened to +-0.1 m for positions: Looser constraints
generate non-positive definite covariance matrices.
(b) Week 0825: Starting this week the Earth rotation parameters in the
NGS covariance matrix seem to have the correct units
(c) The following ties are 'removed'
TSKB_GPS -26.306 -38.284 2.761 XYZ
AREQ_GPS 18.615 -0.548 21.499 XYZ
MAS1_GPS 3.120 -0.845 -9.563 XYZ
The values here are not the same as those in the SINEX file which
appear to be incorrect
(d) We only include the last three days of the NGS sinex files because
the APRIORI block was missing from the NGS files.
(5) When the combined and center solutions are compared to ITRF93, the
heights are given a variance 10 times larger than the horizontal coordinates.
The same variance ratio is used when the RMS to ITRF93 core sites is
computed.
(6) Starting Week 0823, we show the differences in the coordinates for
four non-core sites, in remote areas, that are processed by all centers.
These sites are not used in the RMS calculations or the transformation
estimation to the 13 core sites.
