OUTLINE OF THE ESTIMATION OF GPS-ORBITS AND EARTH ROTATION PARAMETERS
AT THE ESOC PROCESSING CENTRE FOR IGS

 J.M.Dow, T.Martin-Mur, J.Feltens, C.Garcia-Martinez, M.A. Bayona-Perez

Description of analysis for period 1994 Apr 17 - Apr 23
                                                        (week 0745)
 1. SOFTWARE USED: GPSOBS/BAHN-Version 5

 2. MODELS USED AND PARAMETERS ESTIMATED/FIXED:

For a description of models and parameters used ==> see IGS - Mail 51
For updates of the models and parameters used ==> see IGS - Mail 114 and
                                                      see IGS - Rep. 224,277
 3. REMARKS:

-Lack of observations for satellite PRN13 on DOY 113.

-Manoeuvre of satellite PRN09 on 20/04/94. The satellite was
only tracked by HART when the manoeuvre took place (between
1300 and 1430 UTC) and the time could not be estimated with
the usual accuracy. The estimated components are the following:

         Radial : 38 mm/s
         Transverse : 154 mm/s
         Normal : -10 mm/s

Due to the fact that the satellite was sparsely tracked during
and after the manoeuvre, the estimation is not as accurate as
     usual.

-Satellite clock bias estimates for the last weeks have been
severely affected by C/A pseudo range biases. We are using the
biases published by J.Kouba in the recent IGS workshop, but it
seems that these biases are not constant for all the receivers.
For the last weeks we have had problems with the following
     receivers:
rcv: KOKB doy: 096 different biases for different satellites
rcv: TIDB doy: 098 unusually high noise
rcv: HART doy: 098 different biases for different satellites
We are actually reprocessing the last three weeks excluding
troublesome receivers and we will redeliver them as soon as they
are completed. For this week we have excluded the three previously
listed receivers and we think that the clocks can be, when
compared with EMR clocks, in the order of 10 ns rms.

 4. GROUND STATIONS: Altamimi and Boucher, IGS Mails 421 and 430,
                     ITRF92 at 1994.0 and localtie.tab.
