OUTLINE OF THE ESTIMATION OF GPS-ORBITS AND EARTH ROTATION PARAMETERS
AT THE ESOC PROCESSING CENTRE FOR IGS
J.M.Dow, J.Feltens, T.J.Martin-Mur, C.Garcia-Martinez
Description of analysis for period 1993 Oct 31 - Nov 06
(week 0721)
1. SOFTWARE USED: GPSOBS/BAHN-Version 5
2. MODELS USED AND PARAMETERS ESTIMATED/FIXED:
For a description of models and parameters used ==> see IGS - Mail 51
For updates of the models and parameters used ==> see IGS - Mail 114 and
see IGS - Rep. 224,277
From this week on we have started to estimate d(UT1R-TAI)/dt, instead of
d(UT1-TAI)/dt.
From this week we will include more observations and passes in our
processing.
From this week we will be able to exclude the observations to
manoeuvring satellites from affecting the geodetic parameters
(eop's, station coordinates) and the estimated orbit of other
satellites. Observations to manoeuvring satellites will only
be used to estimate their own parameters (state vector, biases,
manoeuvres)
3. REMARKS: - Satellite SV-31/PRN31 was repositioned on day 31/10/93
at about 19:51:30. We have estimated the following
components in the orbital reference frame:
Radial : 5 mm/s
Transverse : -147 mm/s
Normal : -2 mm/s
Observations to this satellite were excluded from the
geodetic parameter estimation on days 304 and 305.
- Satellite SV-29/PRN29 was repositioned on day 04/11/93
at about 01:33:00. We have estimated the following
components in the orbital reference frame:
Radial : 3 mm/s
Transverse : 112 mm/s
Normal : 2 mm/s
Observations to this satellite were excluded from the
geodetic parameter estimation on days 307, 308 and 309.
- AS on days 307, 308, 309, 310.
- Satellite SV-09/PRN13 was scheduled to be unusable on
day 308 beginning 0000 UTC until day 349 at 0000 due
to maintenance. L-BAND will be cycling on and off during
the outage. The orbit of this satellite is affected on
days 309 and 310 by the lack of measurements.
