Dear colleagues,
It is our pleasure to announce the public, open-source release of pytrf: a Python toolbox for the analysis of time series and terrestrial reference frames, developed at IGN.
pytrf results from a progressive buildup of Python code since 2011 in the context of the IGS Reference Frame Committee and of the IERS ITRS Center, and from a complete modernization and optimization of the code in 2020-2021. Since then, it has been continuously and collaboratively improved, and shared with researchers, students and institutions across the world.
pytrf has two main components:
*
a module for the analysis and modeling of (geodetic) time series,
*
modules for the analysis and combination of terrestrial frame (SINEX) solutions.
The second component aims to succeed IGN's CATREF software, which will be no longer maintained.
pytrf is currently available, together with usage examples and documentation, at:
https://github.com/prebischung/pytrf
But note that it will eventually be moved to IGN's GitHub repository at:
https://github.com/IGNF/pytrf
We hope that pytrf can prove useful to the geodetic community, but also welcome contributions (testing, bug reports/fixes, new features) from the community.
Best regards,
Paul Rebischung, Julien Barnéoud, Kevin Gobron, Maylis de La Serve
