Dear colleagues,
The deadline for submitting abstracts to the IGS Workshop 2026 is around the corner: February 8, 2024.
If you haven't done so yet, please consider submitting an abstract to Session 2 "Building global GNSS-based reference frames" (see description below) at:
https://www.igs-workshop-2026.com/abstract/
Best regards,
The convener team: Paul Rebischung, Peter Steigenberger, Bingbing Duan
Session description:
Precise orbit and clock products are fundamental for realizing the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF). Furthermore, ESA's forthcoming Genesis Mission will improve reference frames by combining the four main geodetic techniques in orbit. This session will highlight improvements in orbit modeling, bias handling, antenna calibrations, and multi-GNSS processing, as well as their impact on reference frame accuracy and geophysical applications. We also welcome contributions on velocity (linear and non-linear) models, Plate Kinematic Models (PKM), and Earth Surface Deformation (ESD) that consider deformations caused by multiple phenomena (e.g., plate motion, earthquakes, volcanoes), as they are essential for coordinating epoch changes, especially in Central and South America and other tectonically active regions.
