Dear colleagues,
We have upgraded the open-source software PRIDE PPP-AR to version 3.1 (https://github.com/PrideLab/PRIDE-PPPAR) to enable multipath effect mitigation. The multipath mitigation module is based on a multipath hemispherical map (MHM) model for precise point positioning pseudorange/carrier-phase residuals of any dual-frequency combination from any GNSS constellation. The module is also empowered by modeling overlap-frequency residuals (i.e., GPSL1/L5, Galileo E1/E5a and BDS-3 B1C/B2a) for more efficient multipath mitigation. PRIDE PPP-AR 3.1 can perform MHM using both float and fixed solutions, and can use data before or after the target days for MHM modeling. Depending on station surroundings and data quality/completeness, the precision improvement of kinematic positions ranges from 5-20% typically in terms of RMS errors. The improvement over periods of more than 20 minutes would be trustworthy. Specific operations and commands can be found in the new manual or in the help information for scripts or module.
Please do not hesitate to contact us (pride at whu.edu.cn) if you have any problem with the multipath mitigation or the PRIDE PPP-AR software. This work is funded by National Science Foundation of China (No. 42025401, 42361134580) and under the auspices of IAG Sub-Commission 4.2 “Multi-constellation and multi-frequency GNSS”.
