Dear IGS Community,

As many of you have observed, the IGS Central Bureau is working hard to
ensure the administrative and information systems of the IGS, as well as
the work our community does, are accessible, visible, usable, and
understandable to a broad audience.

In order to continue to serve our ever-growing community, the IGS Central
Bureau is announcing opportunities for secondments for several roles.
Secondments are defined as the temporary assignment of a person away from
their regular organization (but still remaining at said organization) to
increase the number of workers and/or exchange skills at the target
organisation (here the IGS CB).

We are currently accepting nominations for secondments in the following
disciplines:

   -

   technical translations of IGS guidelines into other languages;
   -

   data visualisation;
   -

   science communications and outreach;
   -

   user interface and website design;
   -

   graphic design;
   -

   policy and law (specifically data licensing);
   -

   improvements to the IGS Site Log Manager 2.0 software (including
   software development, documentation, and engagement with local or regional
   networks wishing to use this software); and
   -

   general CB operations.

Because these opportunities are for virtual secondments, the candidate(s)
will remain at -- and must be funded by -- their home institution. All
seconded persons will be included as official staff members of the IGS
Central Bureau (https://igs.org/governance-management/#central-bureau).
Students and early career professionals are especially encouraged to apply.

If your organization would like to second someone (full or part-time) to
the IGS Central Bureau for some of these roles, please contact IGS CB
Director Allison Craddock (craddock at igs.org) and Deputy Director Léo
Martire (leo.martire at igs.org) for more information.

Best regards,

Allison and Léo
