Dear Colleagues,

There have been a set of resubmissions of IGS Rapid and Final clocks due to a previous issue in the alignment of the clocks to the IGS timescale (IGRT and IGST respectively). The majority of the resubmitted clocks do not have a significant impact on the positioning estimations, except for two of the Rapid clocks. Please see below the list of the resubmitted clocks and the impact on PPP solutions:

IGS Rapid clocks of GPS week 2296, dow 4 (Year 2024, Day of Year 011) to GPS week 2299, dow 4 (Year 2024, Day of Year 032) were corrected for an issue with the alignment to IGRT and were republished. There has been no identified impact on PPP solutions.

IGS Final clocks of GPS weeks 2295 to 2301 (Year 2023, Day of Year 365 to Year 2024, Day of Year 048) were not initially aligned to IGST, but were later replaced by the clocks that were re-aligned to IGST. There has been no identified impact on PPP solutions.

IGS Rapid clocks of GPS week 2303, dow 5 (Year 2024, Day of Year 061) to GPS week 2305, dow 6 (Year 2024, Day of Year 076) were corrected for an issue with the alignment to IGSR and were republished. There has been no identified impact on PPP solutions for most of this period. The exception is the originally published Rapid clocks for GPS week 2305, dow 2 and 3 (year 2024, day of year 072 and 073) impacted the PPP solutions showing as a bias in the estimated positions. This was because for these two days, the clocks were incorrectly shifted by large values of about 400 micro-seconds, which could cause a bias in the position estimates. The re-published clocks are expected to result in accurate position estimates.

The issues with the alignment of the Rapid and Final clocks to IGRT and IGST have been resolved and the products are being aligned to the IGS Timescale as usual.

Apologies for any inconvenience the above issues may have caused.

Kind Regards,
Salim Masoumi
