Dear Colleagues,
With the abstract submission deadline for the upcoming AGU Fall Meeting
nearing on August 2, we would like to draw your attention to our session:
G002 - Advancing Geodetic Observations and their Contributions for
Modelling and Prediction of Severe Weather Events
This session is dedicated to advancements in geodetic observations and
their contributions to the modelling and prediction of severe weather
events to improve our understanding of these events and their short-term
forecasting of, e.g., precipitation. Topics may include the following:
multi-instrument and low-cost approaches, oceanic and moving platform
observations, observation modelling and processing strategies, advanced
GNSS atmospheric products, GNSS reflectometry in forecasting/nowcasting,
multi-GNSS meteorology, severe weather case studies, numerical weather
prediction (NWP) model assimilation approaches for geodetic observations,
numerical modelling impact, contributions to storm tracking and path
prediction, tomography and cloud modelling advancements and impacts on
predictions, high performance computing and machine learning methods in
geodetic-meteorological applications.
Please submit your abstract here: https://www.agu.org/Fall-Meeting
We would love to see you in San Francisco and are looking forward to
learning of your exciting research.
Kind Regards,
Your conveners
Guergana Guerova, University of Sofia, Bulgaria
Jonathan Jones, MetOffice, United Kingdom
Gregor Moeller, ETH Zürich, Switzerland
