Dear colleagues,
[[ Apologies for cross-posting ]]
We are looking for a PhD candidate to develop a high-frequency coastal sea-level observing system using GNSS reflectometry at the University of La Rochelle, France.
The PhD aims at obtaining near-instantaneous observations of the sea-surface height from coastal GNSS stations in a geocentric reference frame with a particular focus on satellite altimeter calibration and also on complementing tidal and extreme sea-level observations where conventional tide gauges are not available.
We offer a 3-year CNRS-like contract. Applicants must hold a university degree (Master, Diploma, or equivalent) in Geodesy/Geophysics/Engineering or any related field. We seek a candidate with good knowledge in computer coding and signal processing algorithms, initiative and willingness for remote teamwork.
Applications are now open till May 31 2021 with a contract starting from October 1st 2021.
In order to apply, you need to send by email:
- Your CV
- A motivation letter
- Two references
- Transcripts of Master grades
