I'm pleased to announce that NOAA's National Geodetic Survey (NGS) is
seeking candidates for a *senior Geodesist position specializing in
GPS/GNSS and Reference Frames*, within the Spatial Reference System
Division. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and *the application period
closes on Monday, February 10, 2020*.

This Geodesist (Reference Frame Scientist) is a key part of the team that
defines and maintains the official terrestrial reference frame for the
United States, as part of the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS). The
Geodesist is expected to have expert knowledge of Global Positioning System
(GPS)/Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) ground station networks
and satellite orbit analysis. They will conduct research, lead
projects/improvements related to the reference system, act as a senior
member of our team, and maintain a close relationship with the IGS in
support of NGS' mission.

The position is located in NOAA/NGS headquarters in Silver Spring, MD and
the starting salary will be between $99,172.00 to $152,352.00 per year.
This is *not* a supervisory position. Payment of recruitment incentives may
be authorized.
