[IGSMAIL-7701] Open PostDoc Position in the field of Satellite Geodesy

Dear IGS colleagues,

The Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics (IGiG), WUELS, Wroclaw, announces an open PostDoc position funded by the Polish National Science Center in the framework of the project "Determination of Global Geodetic Parameters using the Galileo Satellite System" (project number: 2018/29/B/ST10/00382).

Main tasks:

*         Software development for precise point positioning using Galileo data (including real-time solutions)

*         Processing and predictions  of station and satellite clock parameters

*         Analysis of the time series of Galileo-derived geodetic parameters

*         Publishing scientific papers and presentation of results at scientific conferences

*         Assist in education of master and Ph.D. students
Requirements:

*         Ph.D. University degree in geodesy, informatics, physics, mathematics, aerospace engineering, or a similar discipline acquired between February 2012 and February 2019

*         Proficiency in programming (e.g., in C++, Perl, Fortran, Python)

*         Experience in the time series analysis of geodetic parameters and/or precise point positioning using multi-GNSS data

*         Excellent record of scientific achievements, including publications as the first author in high-level journals, such as Journal of Geodesy, GPS Solutions, Journal of Geophysical Research, Geophysical Research Letters, or similar

*         Proficiency in English (oral and written)

*         Capability to work independently and timely, enjoying to participate actively in meetings of international teams and to present complex research concisely and appealingly

*         copy of the doctoral degree (Ph.D. diploma)
Application deadline: January 31, 2019
Salary: 10000,00 PLN per month (gross), which is equal to about 2400,00 EUR per month (gross)
Contract: 24 months
