As many of you may have heard, ongoing budget debates within the U.S. Federal Government have come to a critical point as of today, January 19. If a budget agreement is not reached, a potential furlough will shut down non-essential U.S. Government services. CDDIS is funded and operated by NASA and will be affected by this action. Not only will CDDIS staff not be permitted to work, but NASA IT assets could be affected. At this time, we are hoping/planning for continued access to the CDDIS web/ftp sites, including the upload servers and the real-time GNSS caster so users will hopefully be able to continue to access our systems and push data for archive. However, CDDIS personnel will be unable to work and thus all operations will continue on an automated basis.

We regret the GREAT inconvenience this outage may cause should a shutdown occur.

While the CDDIS is unavailable, users can access one of the other data centers supporting the services:

ILRS: https://ilrs.cddis.eosdis.nasa.gov/data_and_products/data_centers/index.html (check now!)
IVS: https://ivscc.gsfc.nasa.gov/about/org/components/dc-list.html
IDS: https://ids-doris.org/ids/data-products/information-data-center-organization.html

Let's all hope that the U.S. Government passes a budget so we can continue to work. I will keep you informed as I hear more news.

Regards,
Carey.
