[IGSMAIL-7362] PhD Position (GNSS Integrity) at IfE Hannover

We offer a PhD Position

*Alternative GNSS integrity measures (Salary Scale 13 TV-L) *

to join the Research Training Group (RTG) “Integrity and Collaboration 
in Dynamic Sensor Networks” funded by the German Research Foundation 
(DFG). The position is available from December 1st, 2016 for a duration 
of three years.

You will *develop new GNSS integrity measures* based on interval 
mathematics. The theoretical developments will be implemented in MATLAB 
to conduct simulation studies. Measurement campaigns will be performed 
together with further PhD students of the RTG to collect data from GNSS 
and various navigation sensors. The kinematic positions within the 
sensor network has to be determined and integrity measures computed.
*We offer* an attractive position in an interdisciplinary team working 
in a highly relevant topical field of research which provides excellent 
opportunities for further professional qualification. The structured 
supervision program is designed to allow for a graduation within three 
years.
*We expec*t candidates with an outstanding M.Sc. degree in geodesy, 
navigation, aerospace engineering, robotics, or a related discipline. 
Good knowledge on GNSS and programming skills in MATLAB. Furthermore, 
the ability for interdisciplinary and independent work as well as a very 
good command of the English language and a passion for learning German 
are required.
Part-time employment can be arranged on request.
