Dear Colleagues,
We encourage you to submit an abstract to Session G010(ID#12699) of AGU
Fall Meeting 2016 on New GNSS Data and Techniques: Applications in the
Earth Sciences
GPS and its ability to estimate positions with millimetric precision has
contributed to significant advances in geophysics, seismology, atmospheric
science, etc. In the next few years, over a hundred GNSS satellites from a
multitude of such systems will be deployed, and new data types (GPS L5,
L2C, etc.) will contribute to high-precision positioning, atmosphere
sounding, reflectometry, etc. The availability of higher precision over a
wider frequency band should benefit, for example, the identification of
transients and previously undetected low-magnitude signals. However,
exploiting these modernized data sets will require the development of new
GNSS processing methods. This session is focused on these new GNSS data in
terms of improved analysis methods, precision and robustness, and their
impact on a variety of science applications. Specific case studies on the
actual use of GNSS with enhanced methods for specific science applications
are encouraged.
The abstract submission is open until the 3rd of August and can be done at
https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm16/preliminaryview.cgi/Session12699.html
We look forward to seeing you in SF from Dec 12-16, 2016. Sorry for cross
postings.
