Dear Colleagues,
As part of the 2015 Fall Meeting of the AGU that will be held in San
Francisco, California during 14-18 December 2015,
we would like to draw your attention to the session on "Reference
Frames: Determination, Usage and Application".
The description of the session is given below.
On behalf if the conveners I would like encourage you to participate in
and submit an abstract to our session.
More information about the 2015 Fall Meeting can be obtained from its
web site at <http://fallmeeting.agu.org/2015>.
Please note that abstracts must be submitted to AGU by this Wednesday,
August 5, 2015.
Best regards,
Zuheir
Session ID#: 8093: Reference Frames: Determination, Usage and Application
For the quantification of many geophysical phenomena, e.g. sea level
variation,
glacial isostatic adjustment, geophysical seasonal signals, post-seismic
deformation,
a global reference frame, such as the ITRF, is needed. The session
solicits contributions
from scientists determining or using global reference frames for their
applications,
focusing on error budgets and other limiting factors. Contributions from
analysts of
space geodetic techniques (VLBI, SLR, GNSS, DORIS) and their combination
are also welcome.
By the time of the AGU 2015 fall meeting the ITRF2014 will hopefully be
available. Papers
on its exploitation are specifically encouraged.
