I am sad to inform our community of the passing of our friend and colleague Dr. Bob Schutz on June 7, 2015. His family posted the news on the Caring Bridge website http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/drbobschutz which has been frequently updated with news over the last few weeks. 

Bob was an important part of our scientific community, a strong presence and valued advisor; we will truly miss him. Our thoughts go out to his family and his colleagues during the difficult times in the days and weeks ahead.
