[IGSMAIL-6909] IGS workshop: Deadline for poster abstract submission extended to May 7th

Dear colleagues,

the deadline for submitting the abstracts for poster presentations at 
the upcoming IGS workshop in Pasadena is through since last Friday. 
There is a big number of abstracts submitted in time. Thank you for 
keeping the schedule.

Yesterday a Governing Board business meeting was held. It was decided to 
acknowledge that many people are very busy due to activities related to 
the EGU meeting taking place this week in Vienna. So, we will accept 
further abstracts until Wednesday, May 07th. The procedure is described 
in the e-mail below.

this is only to remind you that the deadline to submit abstracts for
poster presentations at the upcoming IGS workshop is approaching next
week. Please submit you abstracts before the deadline of Friday, April
25th to the website of the workshop (http://www.igs.org/workshop/ --
section "Submissions"; select presentation type "Poster" to get all
necessary input fields).

Dear colleagues,

as announced by Ruth Neilan in the IGSMAIL #6886, the web-site for the
upcoming IGS workshop held in June 23-27, 2014 at Caltech, Pasadena, USA
is now available: http://www.igs.org/workshop/

The program will consist of 11 plenary sessions where the speakers will
be invited by the session chairs.

In addition there will be 14 poster sessions on various topics related
to the IGS. The posters will be available online and displayed over two
days in the Dabney Lounge at the workshop location. Three sessions (with
90 minutes each) are exclusively reserved for poster discussions.
You are kindly invited to submit your abstract for a poster presentation
to the "Submissions" section of the workshop's web page. The abstract
deadline is April 25th.

Only with your abstracts the workshop will become an interesting event.
