Sensing Group and will report to the group supervisor. Will be
responsible for further developing, maintaining, optimizing, testing and
distributing: software to produce scientific observables from GNSS
measurements obtained from ground and space; Global Assimilative
Ionosphere Model (GAIM) software originally developed jointly by JPL and
University of Southern California; software to analyze scientific data
from GNSS; and software to perform numerical computation of
atmosphere-ionosphere interaction and its coupling with ocean. Will
perform and prioritize tasks for scientific analysis of GNSS data and
other space-borne measurements to perform model-data comparisons for
scientific analysis, work with community models of the Earth¹s ionosphere
and atmosphere, and develop real-time capable systems for processing and
analyzing GNSS remote sensing data. Will report to group members and
sponsors on all efforts. Will report at scientific conferences and publish
papers in refereed journals. Will help determine technical strategy for
group software and model development and decide the best resource
allocation for specific tasks. Will create solutions for specific
sponsored projects.
