Dear Colleagues,

If you are still unsure about sending an abstract to the coming
General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union held in Vienna, 
Austria, 22 - 27 April 2012, why not considering about the new
Joint session EOS7/G6.4 "Education and Outreach in Geodesy"?

This session addresses how to communicate with and educate students, the 
public and governmental agencies about geodesy. Although we welcome all 
contributions covering this topic, we are particularly interested in: 
(i) the communication (by scientist, engineers, governmental and other 
agencies, press and other media etc) of geodesy to the public and interested 
agencies, and (ii) the teaching of geodesy to students. 

Participants are invited to contribute with oral and poster presentations. 
We are interested in methods and innovative techniques for education as well 
as means for outreach activities. Examples for successful application of one 
or more of the methods and means may be presented as well as results of projects 
which cover a wide variety of education and outreach activities may be 
investigated with respect to their usefulness.

Have in mind the deadline for abstracts: 17 January 2012.
