Dear IGS colleagues!

The absolute IGS antenna correction file (igs05_wwww.atx) has been updated. The new release is called 'igs05_1602.atx'. It contains the following changes:

1) z-offset and PCVs of the first Block IIF satellite (SVN62/PRN25) launched on 28 May 2010 have been updated:

z-offset: from 1.093 m to 1.407 m
PCVs: from zero PCVs to the values given in the file

The new z-offset is an estimate of Xavier Collilieux (IGN) who analyzed 11 weeks of IGS SINEX files from CODE and ESA to get two independent solutions. The agreement between the two AC estimates is excellent:

1.406 ± 0.019 m (ESA)
1.408 ± 0.028 m (CODE)

The new PCVs were estimated by Florian Dilssner (ESA). In view of igs08.atx, further ACs will try to estimate Block IIF PCV values to get independent solutions.

In that context, also the following "Inside GNSS" paper of Florian Dilssner might be interesting:
GPS IIF-1 satellite: Antenna phase center and attitude modeling
http://www.insidegnss.com/auto/sep10-Dilssner.pdf
The phase center correction values contained in that paper slightly differ from those added to igs05.atx now. This is mainly due to the fact that in the meantime more data is available and that the paper is based on a GPS-only solution, whereas the official ESA SINEX solution is a combined GPS/GLONASS solution.

The updated Block IIF values will be considered by the ACs for their IGS contributions starting with GPS week 1603.

2) Three additional receiver antenna calibrations provided by Leica Geosystems AG have been added:

LEIAR25.R4 NONE
LEIAR25.R4 LEIT
LEIAR25.R4 SCIT

3) Two additional receiver antenna calibrations provided by NovAtel Inc. have been added:

NOV750.R4 NONE
NOV750.R4 NOVS

4) The ANTEX format version was changed from 1.3 to 1.4:
