Dear colleagues,
Please consider submitting an abstract to the following session at Fall AGU
(deadline 2nd September):
Session Title: Recent Advances in Observation and Modeling of Glacial
Isostatic Adjustment
Session Abbreviation: G18
Description: Observations of glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) inform us
about how the solid Earth responds to surface loading changes. Such
observations can, for example, be used to infer details of Earth structure
and help us understand both past and present climate change. We invite
contributions on observation and modeling related to GIA and especially
encourage studies that focus on currently glaciated regions. Studies that
adopt a variety of data types are welcome, although we particularly support
those that consider geodetic observations (GPS, GRACE, etc), including
combinations of these. We also welcome submissions focusing on separating
signals, such as isolating the elastic and viscous components of Earth
response.
Kind Regards,
Matt Simpson, Erik Ivins and Abbas Khan
