Dear IGS colleagues,

In IGS Mail 5924

  http://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/mail/igsmail/2009/msg00049.html

we noted a reduced amount of observation data for R10 and R14 due to
receiver firmware issues. See, e.g.:

  ftp://ftp.unibe.ch/aiub/igsdata/y2009/odata_glonass_d108.txt
  ftp://ftp.unibe.ch/aiub/igsdata/y2009/odata_glonass_d109.txt
  ftp://ftp.unibe.ch/aiub/igsdata/y2009/odata_glonass_d110.txt

The station operators responsible for Leica (and NovAtel) GNSS
receivers are advised to update the firmware to the latest version
asap: 7.02/3.017 for LEICA GRX1200GGPRO, 7.02/4.003 for LEICA
GRX1200+GNSS, 3.62 for NOV OEMV3. See also:

List of obviously affected GNSS receivers:

  AFKB
  AJAC
  ALIC
  BAKO
  BARH
  BRST
  BZRG
  CASC
  DARW
  DAV1
  EPRT
  FLRS
  FUNC
  HERT
  HNPT
  HOB2
  HYDE
  IDDR
  ILHA
  JOZ2
  KHAR (NOV OEMV3)
  KOSG
  LAMA
  LPAL
  MATE
  MOBS
  NANO
  NICO
  NTUS
  ORID
  PDEL
  PENC
  RCMN
  STR1
  TOW2
  UNBN (NOV OEMV3, already updated)
  XMIS
  YAR3

It should be mentioned that the percentage of Leica receivers has
reached more than 30% of the GPS/GLONASS tracking receivers considered
in CODE's data monitorung (currently 41 of 133).

Remark: We still receive incomplete GLONASS observation data from
modern GNSS receivers which are not yet ready to track GLONASS negative
frequency channels (due to non-updated firmware):

  PARK (JPS E_GGD)
  POUS (TPS GB-1000)
  VESL (TPS GB-1000)

Best regards,

Stefan
