Dear IGS/IGLOS colleagues,
We got confronted with first IGS/IGLOS tracking data of the three new
GLONASS-M satellites launched on 25 Dec 2007, namely:
R11 (723) on 15 Jan 2008 (day 015)
R09 (722) on 17 Jan 2008 (day 017, considered at CODE as of day 022)
R13 (721) on 31 Jan 2008 (day 031)
With these three new satellites, the GLONASS-M constellation now
consists of 13 satellites: R06, R07, R09, R10, R11, R13, R14, R15, R17,
R19, R20, R23, R24.
The CODE GNSS orbit products include currently up to 47 satellites (31
GPS plus 16 GLONASS). The following GLONASS satellites may be declared
as active (R13 is not yet marked usable):
R01 (796)
R04 (795)
R06 (701)
R07 (712)
R08 (797)
R09 (722)
R10 (717)
R11 (723)
R13 (721)
R14 (715)
R15 (716)
R17 (718)
R19 (720)
R20 (719)
R23 (714)
R24 (713)
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is still a significant number of IGS/IGLOS GNSS
receivers which is not yet ready for zero or negative GLONASS frequency
channels. This is an unpleasant situation, especially since already 5
(of 16) GLONASS satellites transmit their signals on these frequency
channels: R09 (-2), R11 (0), R13 (-2), R15 (0), R17 (-1). See:
