IERS Workshop on Conventions:
Third Announcement and final call for presentations


The workshop on the IERS Conventions will be held on 20-21 September
2007 (Thursday-Friday), at the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures
in Sevres, France.

Information on the workshop is available at

It is recommended to pre-register on-line at
http://www.bipm.org/en/events/iers/registration_form.html
before 31 July 2007. After that date, registration may be refused if the
number of registered participants exceeds the seating capacity.

The scientific programme will cover five themes, as indicated below.

Theme 1. Recent advances and validations of the IERS Conventions models 

Theme 2. Conventional contributions to local station displacements: what
to include?

Theme 3. Evolution of the realization of reference systems

Theme 4. Technique-dependent conventions 

Theme 5. Evolution of the Conventions

Presentations are welcome on all five themes. Participants wishing to
contribute should fill the required fields when pre-registering.

An abstract will be requested for each proposed presentation at the end
of July, in order to prepare the final programme.
